Location: Lehigh Parkway – starting near the Road Runners Club House.
Start Time: 7:00 PM
Race day registration/packet pickup: 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM
Fees: $25 if registered by June 11, $30 After
The Goods: Each runner receives a beer stein and we are cooking out after the race! (Beer Steins are guaranteed if registered by June 19th.)
The Run: The race begins and ends near the Road Runners Clubhouse in the Lehigh Parkway. The course will be rolling with a couple decent hills in the mix and will be held entirely within the park. There will be a mix of gravel and paved path/road. (Runners must be able to finish in 2 hours– which is approximately a 17 minute mile)
Prizes: Awards to top male and female finisher and age group awards will be given 3-deep. Everyone has a shot at the raffle prizes! Must be present at awards ceremony to win. The awards ceremony will take place as soon as possible following the last finisher.
Series Points: Top 10% of male and female finishers, Top 3 in each age group. 1 Point for each school supply donation up to 10 points. Donations benefit area elementary schools in Allentown and Bethlehem.
Other fun stuff: A fast course and fun environment. Will have music and a cookout with burgers and dogs following the run. And if we can swing it, maybe a few free adult beverages!
The event is rain or shine. Run Lehigh Valley reserves the right to cancel and/or alter the race in the event that natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstance prevents us from holding the race safely as planned. We will make every attempt to hold the event. Any cancellations or changes, will be noted on the home page, race-specific page and on facebook.
